Antia Banner was born in Winston Salem, NC to Ivan and Sharon Banner. She attended LIFT Academy Charter School in High School and graduated in 2000. Upon graduating, Banner enlisted into the United States Navy. That journey fell short early resulting in her trying different venues of CNA, Phlebotomy, and EMT, to name a few, before enrolling into a bachelors degree program.
In between all the action, Antia was writing poetry as well as working on a novel. In 2010 through a POD publisher, Antia published her first book Vampira. Not happy at all with the publishing company, she decided to buy back the rights to her work of art and began the sequel. Before Banner knew, her work evolved into would could be a series.
She currently holds a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice obtained from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC in 2014 and is employed as an assistant manager, while also being a NC Surety Bail Bondsman and a commissioned notary.
"No matter how busy I am, sad, mad, depressed, or stressed, I can always turn to my vampire world and write. I can't wait until I'm able to just write." - Antia.
Banner has two sons, the eldest named Antwon and the youngest, AnQuan. Also to include an adopted son, a German Shepherd, named Kisuke. In addition to writing, Antia enjoys movies (horror is her favorite but she enjoys all), playing video games such as Assassins Creed, and cooking, not to mention eating.
